Archer Aviation Acquires Boeing Subsidiaries in Autonomy Deal
Archer Aviation has signed definitive agreements to acquire Boeing's subsidiaries Wisk Aero, SkyGrid, and Insitu. The deal adds eVTOL, air traffic management, and UAS capabilities to Archer's platform, combining complementary autonomy technologies developed over decades.
The transaction brings together nearly two million combined flight hours of experience from the acquired companies, which will integrate with Archer's ZEE AI platform. This positions Archer to deliver an end-to-end physical AI platform across commercial aerospace, defense, and air traffic management.
Boeing will retain access to Wisk's core autonomous flight technology for its current and next-generation aircraft through a collaboration and technology-sharing arrangement.
