Archer Aviation Buys Boeing Subsidiaries for Significant Portion of Self
Archer Aviation is acquiring Boeing's subsidiaries Wisk Aero, Insitu, and SkyGrid in a deal worth a significant portion of itself. The terms of the agreement require Archer to issue new stock equal to 19.75% of its shares outstanding just before closing, leaving Boeing with about 16.5% ownership.
The acquisition adds more than $200 million of annual revenue to Archer, which currently has trailing-12-month revenue of $6.9 million. Insitu's military aircraft business is profitable and brings in significant revenue from 35 nations' armed forces.
Wisk Aero builds autonomous aircraft, while SkyGrid runs digital airspace-management software, but neither company disclosed their revenue figures. The deal is expected to close by the end of 2026, pending antitrust and national-security approvals.
