Archer Aviation Soars on Boeing Deal to Acquire Wisk, Insitu, SkyGrid
Archer Aviation stock surged 20% to $6.69 on Monday morning after announcing a landmark deal with Boeing, which will see Archer acquire Wisk Aero, SkyGrid, and Insitu subsidiaries in exchange for a 20% stake in the company and warrants.
The three units bring nearly two million combined flight hours and include Insitu, a profitable defense and uncrewed aircraft systems business generating over $200 million in annual revenue with operations across 35 nations.
Archer's CEO Adam Goldstein called the transaction 'the next big step forward in becoming a diversified platform,' as the company aims to create an end-to-end 'physical AI' platform spanning commercial aerospace, defense, and air traffic management.
The deal is expected to close by year-end, pending Hart-Scott-Rodino antitrust review. Archer reports its Q2 2026 results after today's market close, with a conference call to follow.
