Archer Aviation's Boeing Deal Brings in Over $200 Million in Revenue
Archer Aviation's stock has seen a significant boost in recent weeks, up 21.47% since mid-July, amidst news of its acquisition of Boeing's Wisk Aero, Insitu, and SkyGrid businesses for a strategic equity stake. This move is expected to bring in revenue of over $200 million annually from Insitu alone, a stark increase from Archer's Q2 2026 revenue of just $5 million.
The deal has been hailed as an 'important inflection point' by CEO Adam Goldstein, who believes that the addition of these businesses will transform Archer into an end-to-end physical AI platform for aerospace and defense. This vision is backed up by Halo Thunder, a project developed with Anduril that addresses what management pegs as a $100 billion-plus total addressable market aligned with the Pentagon's $53.6 billion FY2027 autonomous systems budget.
However, there are also risks associated with this deal, including regulatory approval and execution risk in integrating three businesses. Archer has committed to keeping cash burn 'relatively flat from where it stands today' post-close, but Q3 is expected to see another $170 million to $200 million loss. The Boeing transaction remains subject to regulatory approval.
