Arcos Dorados Sees Net Income More Than Double Amid Revenue Growth
Arcos Dorados Holdings Inc., the leading McDonald's operator in Latin America, has seen its net income more than double in the first half of 2026. Revenue rose to $2,521.6 million from $2,218.89 million a year earlier.
Net income increased significantly to $81.15 million, while basic earnings per share from continuing operations jumped to $0.39 from $0.17. This indicates that the company is improving its profitability and efficiently converting higher sales into earnings.
The improvement in earnings quality may influence how investors assess Arcos Dorados' investment narrative. The company's role as a leading operator in Latin America, benefiting from urbanization, digital ordering, and a strong brand, is still relevant. However, the sharp earnings growth does not remove key risks around macro volatility, FX swings, and elevated input costs.
The company plans to redeem its 6.125% sustainability linked senior notes in July 2026, which could impact its financial flexibility. The move highlights management's efforts to improve the balance sheet while investing for growth.
