Arizona Woman Passes Away at 87, Leaves Behind Son and Decades of Memories
Barbara A. Ruthardt, known to all as 'Bobbie', passed away at the age of 87 in Mesa, Arizona on November 7, 2025.
Survived by her son Paul Jr., Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband Paul Sr., who passed away 27 years prior.
Born in Brooklyn, New York in June 1938 to Bernard and Vilma Fensterer, Bobbie attended New York University before working for NYU, American Express, and McKesson and Robbins, Inc.
She married Paul Ruthardt in March 1968 and the couple had their only child, Paul Jr., before moving out of New York City to Wappingers Falls, New York.
In 1992, the family relocated to Arizona where Bobbie worked as an optometric technician until her retirement.
