Ashland Matriarch Susan Bowersock Leaves Behind Legacy of Love and Social Spirit
Susan Bowersock, known to her loved ones as Sue, passed away on September 11, 2026, at the age of 75. Born in Ashland, Ohio, on August 1, 1951, she was a proud resident of the same city throughout her life.
Sue's greatest accomplishment was her family, and she cherished spending time with them. She married her high school sweetheart, Robert Bowersock, in 1970, and they had two daughters together. After Bob's passing in 2006, Sue went on to reconnect with Bill Stauffer, a family friend who became an amazing companion.
Sue was a social butterfly who loved being around people. She worked at various places throughout her life, including Home Depot in Ashland, where she enjoyed reconnecting with old friends and meeting new ones. Despite physical challenges, Sue never lost her spirit and would often say how blessed she was to have had such wonderful relationships in her life.
Sue is survived by her daughter Trisa, grandson Derrick, and great-grandchildren Qarsten, Qendrix, Cece, Ellie, Jack IV, Lorelai, Holden, Wyatt, and Nora. She also leaves behind her companion Bill Stauffer and his family, as well as many nieces and nephews.
