Ashland Resident Susan Bowersock Dies at 75 After Unexpected Passing
Susan (Sue) Marie Bowersock (Dull), a 75-year-old Ashland, Ohio resident, passed away unexpectedly on September 11, 2026. Born August 1, 1951, Sue was the fourth of five children to Melvin and Connanelle (Connie) Dull.
Sue graduated from Mapleton High School in 1970, where she won a scholarship to attend the Ohio State School of Cosmetology in Columbus. She met her high school sweetheart, Robert (Bob) Bowersock, on September 19, 1970, and they married shortly after.
The couple spent 35 years together before Bob's passing on April 7, 2006. Sue was known for her friendly and spunky spirit, which she maintained despite facing numerous physical challenges throughout her life. She enjoyed bowling at King Lanes and worked as a cashier at Home Depot in Ashland.
Sue also found happiness with Bill Stauffer, a family friend who became her companion after Bob's passing. They spent their winters traveling to Texas together and attending dance events where Sue would often get on the dance floor despite her physical limitations.
