Ask Maps Global Expansion Brings AI-Powered Recommendations
Google Maps is expanding its Ask Maps feature to over 150 countries and territories worldwide. This feature allows users to have conversations with Google Maps to get recommendations, answers, and directions. The latest updates include a global launch of Personal Intelligence, which uses AI to provide personalized suggestions based on the user's plans and reservations.
The integration of Personal Intelligence is currently available in English and can be enabled manually by users. It includes features such as Gmail integration, allowing Google Maps to access the user's upcoming flight or dinner reservations, and providing relevant suggestions without requiring explanations.
In addition to Personal Intelligence, Ask Maps now also offers real-time transit information for buses, trains, subways, and ferries. This feature will update in real-time if there are any delays, allowing users to make informed decisions about their travel plans.
