AT&T Teams Up with Amazon Leo for Resilient Satellite Connectivity
AT&T Business is expanding its partnership with Amazon's Leo satellite constellation to offer converged connectivity solutions for business customers. The agreement aims to provide resilience and redundancy across technologies, including terrestrial and satellite networks.
The two companies announced their initial agreement in February, but have now furthered their collaboration to expand geographic reach in remote and rural areas through the use of satellite technology. This will enable businesses to stay connected regardless of location or network conditions.
Details about service availability, pricing, and product configurations for enterprise customers are expected to be announced in the coming months. AT&T noted that 98% of its traffic is currently served by wireless and fiber offerings, but the company aims to provide flexible networking options through a unified architecture.
