Atlanta Woman Sentenced to Nearly 17 Years for Role in $10 Million Amazon Scam

An Atlanta woman, Brittany Hudson, has been sentenced to 16 years and three months in federal prison for her role in a nearly $10 million Amazon scam. The scheme involved forging vendor profiles and submitting fictitious invoices to the company, causing Amazon to transfer over $9.4 million into bank accounts controlled by Hudson and her partner, Kayricka Wortham.

Hudson's lavish lifestyle was funded by the stolen money, which she used to purchase a nearly $1 million home in Smyrna, as well as several luxury vehicles, including a 2019 Lamborghini Urus, a 2021 Dodge Durango, and a 2022 Tesla Model X.

Hudson was also convicted of forging a federal judge's signature while out on bond, attempting to secure a franchising deal for a Midtown Atlanta hookah lounge. She was ordered to pay over $9.4 million in restitution back to Amazon and forfeit her Smyrna home and funds seized from her bank accounts.
