Augury Releases Open-Source Profile for Google Cloud's OKF to Streamline Industrial AI
Augury, a leader in Industrial AI, has introduced an open-source profile for Google Cloud's Open Knowledge Format (OKF). The OKF Industrial Profile is designed to address the operational complexity of industrial environments and provides a vendor-neutral standard for structuring plant-floor context, operator heuristics, and sensor-trust policies into human-verified, auditable ground truth for AI agents.
As AI agents are introduced to manufacturing workflows, they face a critical challenge: context fragmentation. Decades of critical operational wisdom remain unwritten or locked in legacy silos, making it difficult for AI agents to know when to act and when not to act.
The OKF Industrial Profile operates alongside existing industrial standards such as ISA-95 and ISA-88 by standardizing human judgment, provenance, and operational trust rules. It introduces standard conventions for human operational knowledge with provenance, data-trust policies, operational relationships, and standards mapping.
Augury is making the OKF Industrial Profile available today in a public repository under the Apache 2.0 license and intends to contribute it to the upstream OKF open-source project.
