Avianca Unveils Major Upgrades to Long-Haul Business Class Suites
Avianca has announced significant upgrades to its long-haul business class product. The airline's Boeing 787 Dreamliner fleet will undergo a major overhaul, with new suites featuring doors installed starting in 2027.
The new seats will retain the reverse herringbone configuration but offer improved amenities and technology, including charging options, 19-inch 4K entertainment screens, and Bluetooth audio. According to industry insiders, this product is likely the Collins Aerospace Elements suite, used by Starlux Airlines on its A350s.
The upgrades extend beyond the hard product, with Avianca also revamping its business class soft product. This includes new dining experiences, upgraded amenity kits, and the introduction of pajamas for passengers. Additionally, flight attendants are being trained in a program specifically designed to improve hospitality and etiquette in business class.
