Avolon, a leading aircraft lessor, has agreed to a sale-and-leaseback transaction with Akasa Air for up to seven Boeing 737-8200 aircraft. This move strengthens the company's relationship with Akasa Air and supports the airline's expansion in the Indian market.

The agreement marks the third transaction between Avolon and Akasa Air, which dates back to the airline's launch. Priya Mehra, Chief of Governance and Strategic Acquisitions at Akasa Air, commented on the deal: 'We are pleased to further strengthen our partnership with Avolon through this third transaction, adding seven Boeing 737-8200 aircraft to our fleet.'

Avolon views India as one of the most attractive aviation growth markets, driven by expanding demand for air travel and strong economic fundamentals. This sale-and-leaseback deal is expected to support Akasa Air's continued fleet expansion and network development.
