Matthew Garman, CEO of Amazon Web Services (AWS), has sold $3.77 million worth of Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN) stock. According to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Garman reported the sale of 14,541 shares on August 21, 2026.
The transactions took place under a pre-arranged Rule 10b5-1 trading plan, which was set up by Garman on May 4, 2026. The sales occurred at prices ranging from $257.09 to $260.79 per share.
On the same day as the sale, Garman also acquired a total of 18,176 shares through the vesting of restricted stock unit awards. This brought his total beneficial ownership in Amazon.com common stock to 17,794 shares directly and an additional 887.52 shares indirectly through an Amazon.com 401(k) Plan Account.
The sales come as Amazon trades at $261.06, with the company's stock showing strong momentum after a nearly 24% gain over the past six months. According to InvestingPro analysis, Amazon appears undervalued at current levels, with a P/E ratio of 20.92 and a PEG ratio of just 0.23.
