Axinn LLP has secured a major victory for Google in the antitrust case filed by the US Department of Justice (DOJ) and 17 states. The decision, made by Judge Leonie Brinkema, rejected the DOJ's bid to impose significant structural changes on Google's ad tech business.

The proposed changes would have forced Google to break apart tools that help small businesses reach new customers and grow. Axinn has co-led Google's defense of the litigation since the case was filed.

The ruling follows over three and a half years of litigation, as well as years of investigation prior to that. Axinn's work on the matter has been recognized by The American Lawyer's 'Litigator of the Week' award and Global Competition Review's 'Behavioural Matter of the Year - Americas' award.

The case is part of a broader global antitrust crackdown on tech giants, with parallel investigations by international agencies. Axinn partners Daniel Bitton and Bradley Justus led the team that included several other lawyers from the firm.
