Azure Surpasses $100 Billion in Annual Revenue
Microsoft's Azure platform has surpassed $100 billion in annual revenue for the first time, marking a significant milestone in the company's AI strategy. This achievement demonstrates the growing demand for enterprise AI solutions and highlights Microsoft's position as a leader in this space.
Nadella, chairman and CEO of Microsoft, emphasized that Azure's success is not just about selling cloud capacity, but rather about providing a platform for enterprise AI to thrive. He noted that Microsoft now offers over 11,000 models across Azure, including those from OpenAI, Anthropic, and xAI.
The company is shifting towards a multi-model operating model, where different models are used for various tasks within the same organization. This approach allows businesses to select the best models based on their specific needs and requirements. Nadella also mentioned that Microsoft has seen a fivefold increase in customers building with models from multiple providers.
