Azure Surpasses $100Bn Revenue Threshold, Dominating Microsoft's Financials
Microsoft's latest financial results show that Azure has become the company's largest product category, crossing the $100Bn revenue threshold in its fiscal year 2026. The 'Intelligent Cloud' segment, which includes Azure and other enterprise services, generated significant profits for Microsoft.
The company's More Personal Computing division, which encompasses Windows client licenses among other products, brought in $54Bn in revenue with an operating income of $14.4Bn. However, this represents only 5% of Microsoft's overall revenue, making it a relatively small contributor to the company's profits.
Analysts estimate that Azure generates four times more profit than Windows client licenses, while LinkedIn alone accounts for around $6-7Bn in income. The dominance of other products within Microsoft has led some to suggest that the company may be neglecting its Windows business.
