In contrast, Google Cloud Storage and Azure Blob Storage offer standard hot tiers at around $18 to $23 per TB.
However, the real game-changer is egress pricing, which can quickly balloon cloud storage costs. While Google Cloud Storage charges a hefty $0.12 per GB for data pulled out of its network, Microsoft's Azure Blob Storage bills around $0.087 per GB. Backblaze B2, on the other hand, offers free egress up to three times the average monthly storage.
The comparison also highlighted the varying pricing philosophies of each provider. While Google Cloud Storage and Azure Blob Storage are designed to be part of larger cloud platforms with multiple services, Backblaze B2 focuses solely on object storage.
