Bangladesh Agrees to Buy $3.7 Billion Worth of Boeing Aircraft
Bangladesh has agreed to purchase 14 Boeing aircraft from US-based Boeing in a deal worth $3.7 billion, according to an agreement signed between Bangladesh Biman Airlines and Boeing.
The agreement was hailed by US President Donald Trump, who thanked the Bangladeshi government for choosing Boeing over other options.
Kazi Wahid ul Alam, an aviation expert from Dhaka, described President Trump's actions as those of a 'salesman' trying to promote American products abroad.
Alam also expressed skepticism about the upgrade of Cox's Bazar airport into an international one, citing low traffic and cargo volumes in the area.
