Bangladesh Buys 14 Boeing Aircraft, Leases More Amidst Aviation Modernization
Bangladesh is purchasing 14 Boeing aircraft from the United States and plans to lease additional planes, according to Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister M Rashiduzzaman Millat. The deal, valued at $3.7 billion, was announced in April as the airline's biggest-ever order.
The government has also committed billions of dollars to buy additional Boeing aircraft from the United States under a new deal between Dhaka and Washington, according to US Special Envoy for South and Central Asia Sergio Gor.
Millat stated that Bangladesh will procure new aircraft from Airbus as part of efforts to modernize and strengthen the aviation sector.
