Bangladesh Buys Boeings Amid Trump Pressure

The government of Bangladesh has signed an agreement with Boeing to purchase 14 aircraft for $3.7 billion, following pressure from US President Donald Trump.

During a meeting in Mymensingh, Minister M Rashiduzzaman Millat said the purchase was made in line with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's request to use American-made Boeings.

The aircraft are expected to be delivered between 2031 and 2035. In addition to Boeing, Bangladesh will also buy Airbus aircraft manufactured in France, England, and Germany.
