Bank of America Settles with Epstein Victims for $72.5 Million
A federal judge has approved a $72.5 million settlement between Bank of America and the victims of Jeffrey Epstein's sex trafficking crimes.
The women, suing collectively under the pseudonym Jane Doe, accused Bank of America of ignoring suspicious transactions by Epstein, who died by suicide in 2019 while awaiting trial.
Bank of America agreed to settle the lawsuit in March, but maintained it did not facilitate Epstein's sex trafficking crimes.
The settlement comes after similar agreements were reached with JPMorgan Chase and Deutsche Bank. However, a claim against Bank of New York Mellon was dismissed by the court.
