Bank of Nova Scotia Invests Heavily in Home Depot Amid Mixed Analyst Views
Bank of Nova Scotia made significant investments in Home Depot during the second quarter. According to its most recent Form 13F filing, Bank of Nova Scotia acquired a new stake in The Home Depot, Inc. (NYSE: HD), purchasing 336,631 shares valued at approximately $118,723,000.
This is not an isolated instance; other institutional investors and hedge funds also made changes to their positions in HD during the quarter. BlackRock Inc., for example, acquired a new position in Home Depot in the second quarter with a value of around $28,771,247,000.
Despite these significant investments, analysts have expressed mixed views on the stock's performance. While some see upside if housing and remodeling demand recover, others caution that the recent earnings beat may be partially due to a reported $685 million tariff refund.
