Microsoft's upcoming Windows 11 Battery Status widget is not something you have to wait for. A third-party app called 'Battery Flyout' already offers a similar feature, which displays the status of your PC and connected devices. This includes keyboards, mice, and other accessories.

The widget can be pinned to the Widget Board or the lock screen, giving users quick access to battery information. Battery Flyout's developer has shared a code for a giveaway with Windows Central readers, allowing some lucky individuals to get the app for free.

As a built-in feature of Windows 11, the Battery Status widget will be available for free. However, Battery Flyout costs $3.19 (on sale from $3.99). Microsoft has been working on improving the Widget Board lately, including turning off the MSN feed by default.
