Baymax Balloon Inflation Game Steals the Show at Disney's Hollywood Studios
The Magic of Disney Animation experience at Disney's Hollywood Studios has been generating excitement among visitors. While many have been drawn to the Olaf Draws animation class, one lesser-known feature has been making a big impression: blowing up balloons with Baymax in the 'Once Upon a Studio' lobby.
Baymax is one of three characters that can be interacted with through augmented reality technology. By scanning their MagicBand and standing in front of a portrait, visitors can play games with these characters. In the case of Baymax, guests are tasked with inflating balloons for an open house event. The faster they inflate the balloons, the higher their score.
The other two characters available through this technology are Pascal from Tangled and the Kakamora from Moana. Pascal plays a game of hide and seek, while the Kakamora requires guests to sway back and forth as if on a boat out at sea. After completing each experience, the characters will step out of their portraits for a photo opportunity using augmented reality.
The Magic of Disney Animation is set to open on September 14, 2026, but visitors have already been able to preview the experience. While it may not be as flashy as some other features at the park, this unique experience offers a chance to interact with lesser-known characters in a fun and engaging way.
