BBIX Expands Network Infrastructure with Google Cloud Integration
BBIX, a subsidiary of SoftBank Corp., and BBSakura Networks, its network solutions provider arm, will expand their high-quality network infrastructure by adding Google Cloud as a new connection destination for XaaS Connection within the OCX (Open Connectivity eXchange) cloud-based network service on August 6, 2026.
XaaS Connection enables direct connections from the closed, private network of OCX to various XaaS platforms without traversing the Internet. With this integration, users can now establish a secure and stable connection to Google Cloud via OCX's high-quality closed network.
This move supports local government and corporate intranet environments in connecting to Google Workspace in a secure environment using local breakout capabilities. Additionally, customers can access Google Workspace with Gemini through the same secure connection, promoting the safe adoption of generative AI in their operations.
