Beach Club Resort Guests Face Temporary Inconvenience Amid Ongoing Construction
Walt Disney World's Beach Club Resort is undergoing significant construction work, affecting guests from now until mid-September. The lobby refurbishment will take place in phases and may temporarily unavailable portions of the area, with alternate travel routes provided. During this time, guests may see or hear construction from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
This is not an isolated incident at Disney World, as many resorts are currently under renovation or maintenance. In fact, it's becoming increasingly common for hotels to have some level of construction work visible during the day. The main event at Beach Club, however, is the exterior maintenance project that will continue until late 2027.
Guests booking rooms in this period should be aware that their views may be affected due to scaffolding and construction work. The Friendship Boat dock was scheduled to be closed for maintenance through late August 2026, but its status should be confirmed before relying on boat service. Additionally, the Disney Skyliner will be closed from January 24-30, 2027, with complimentary bus service available during this time.
