Beijing Fair Showcases China's Services Trade Expansion Efforts
The China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) opened its doors in Beijing on Wednesday, marking a significant step towards expanding China's opening-up efforts in services trade. The fair, running through September 13 at Shougang Park, has attracted participants from 90 countries and regions, with over 1,800 companies showcasing their products and services.
Among the notable attendees are 473 Fortune Global 500 firms and industry leaders such as Honeywell, Johnson & Johnson, and Siemens. The fair features a Global Trade in Services Summit, co-hosted by the World Intellectual Property Organization for the first time. Zimbabwean Vice President Constantino Chiwenga highlighted the potential investment opportunities across various sectors, including conferencing, exhibition, infrastructure, and digital services.
Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Poulev emphasized the importance of trade in services in the China-Bulgarian relationship, stating that Bulgaria aims to see more Bulgarian products reach the Chinese market and establish long-term partnerships with Chinese businesses.
