Bento MDM Integrates with Okta and Microsoft Entra ID for Identity-Based Access Controls

Romania-based software company Bento MDM has integrated its enterprise unified device and endpoint management platform with Okta and Microsoft Entra ID, allowing organizations to apply identity-based access controls to managed devices. This integration supports a Zero Trust approach, which grants access only if both user identity and device posture meet the organization's compliance requirements.

Bento MDM is designed for IT and security teams managing distributed and mixed-device environments. The platform enables organizations to manage, secure, monitor, and automate devices across various operating systems from a single centralized console.

The integrations with Okta Device Trust and Microsoft Entra Conditional Access connect the device compliance state held in Bento MDM to identity and access policies in Okta and Microsoft Entra ID. This enables administrators to manage device compliance and role-based access control (RBAC) from the Bento MDM console, while Okta and Microsoft Entra ID policies use the resulting device posture when making access decisions.

Radu Scarlat, Chairman and CEO of Bento, stated that connecting identity and device management allows organizations to make access decisions based on both user identity and device compliance, which is the practical basis of a Zero Trust model.
