Benton Township Man Shot by Police Faces Multiple Charges
A man is facing multiple charges after an officer-involved shooting in Benton Township, Michigan. On Friday morning, Peter Pearson, 46, fired a gun at a woman near a Home Depot before pointing it at police officers. He then ran into a wooded area, prompting the officers to shoot and injure him.
MSP is investigating the incident, which has left Pearson hospitalized with five charges pending: three counts of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon and two counts of Assaulting, Resisting, or Obstructing a Police Officer. His bond is set at $250,000.
