Berkshire Boosts Alphabet Stake to $36.6 Billion Amid AI Focus
Berkshire Hathaway Inc., led by CEO Greg Abel, has increased its stake in Alphabet Inc., parent company of Google, to $36.6 billion.
The conglomerate added $17 billion worth of Alphabet shares during the second quarter, making Google's parent the third-largest holding in Berkshire's equity portfolio.
Abel said that Berkshire views Alphabet as a significant player in artificial intelligence (AI), citing firsthand experience with AI across its portfolio companies and benefits it delivers.
