Berkshire Hathaway Boosts Alphabet Stake Amid Expanding AI Infrastructure
Berkshire Hathaway's investment in Alphabet has grown by 83% in the second quarter, making it the company's third-largest stock holding. Berkshire now owns nearly 106 million Alphabet shares worth about $37.8 billion as of June 30.
This move comes after Berkshire announced a $10 billion investment in June to help Alphabet expand its AI infrastructure. Apple remains Berkshire's largest stock investment, valued at $66 billion at the end of June, followed by American Express at $51.3 billion.
Berkshire also made significant changes to its investments in other companies, including eliminating its stake in Constellation Brands and adding to its holdings in Delta Air Lines and Macy's. The company bought $23.5 billion and sold $3.7 billion of stocks in the second quarter.
