Berkshire Hathaway Boosts Alphabet Stake by 83%
Berkshire Hathaway increased its investment in Alphabet by 83% in the second quarter, making it the parent of Google and YouTube its third-largest stock holding.
The company's stake in Alphabet now stands at nearly 106 million shares worth about $37.8 billion as of June 30, with a significant portion being a $10 billion investment announced in June to help expand Alphabet's AI infrastructure.
This move solidifies Apple as Berkshire's largest stock investment, followed by American Express and Coca-Cola ranking fourth and Bank of America fifth among its U.S.-listed stock holdings.
