Berkshire Hathaway to Receive $848 Million from Coca-Cola Dividends
Berkshire Hathaway will receive $848 million in dividends from Coca-Cola stock this year.
Coca-Cola's recent performance has been impressive, with the company reporting outstanding results for its 2026 second quarter. Revenue increased 7% year over year to $13.4 billion, and earnings per share were up 16% to $1.03.
The company's strong marketing campaign during the World Cup this summer drove high volume for Powerade drinks, with a 8% increase in volume in the quarter. Coca-Cola CEO Henrique Braun said 'Our beverages are well-loved by consumers, and the strength of our system is unmatched.'
Warren Buffett was fond of Coca-Cola, often saying that his favorite holding period is forever. He bought the stock for Berkshire Hathaway in 1988, and it remains one of the company's longest-held stocks.
New leader Greg Abel has reassured shareholders that he will continue to hold key positions, including Coca-Cola. While he has sold off smaller positions in the portfolio, he is focusing on high-conviction stocks like Coca-Cola.
