Berkshire Hathaway's New Leader Keeps Buffett's Legacy Alive
Greg Abel has taken over as CEO of Berkshire Hathaway after Warren Buffett's retirement on December 31. Despite the change in leadership, Berkshire's investment portfolio remains highly concentrated, with nearly 82% of its $360 billion assets invested in just 10 superstar stocks.
The top holdings include Apple ($72.93 billion), American Express ($49.45 billion), Alphabet ($35.78 billion), and Coca-Cola ($35.23 billion).
Under new management, Berkshire has added tech stocks to its portfolio, including Google parent Alphabet, which has seen significant growth in its artificial intelligence segment.
Financial stocks remain a key part of the portfolio, with American Express, Bank of America, Moody's, and Chubb making up close to 29% of invested assets.
