Berkshire Hathaway's Q2 Investments to Reveal Abel's Portfolio Strategy
Berkshire Hathaway's second-quarter 13F filing is set to provide insight into CEO Greg Abel's reshaping of the conglomerate's equity portfolio after taking over from Warren Buffett.
The filing, due on Friday, marks only the second quarterly portfolio disclosure under Abel's leadership and follows an active first quarter in which Berkshire became a net buyer of equities for the first time in years.
Berkshire has already revealed that it purchased more than $23 billion of stocks during the second quarter, with its biggest confirmed investment being at least $10 billion worth of Alphabet stock as part of the Google parent's equity fundraising tied to its AI infrastructure spending.
The conglomerate now holds around 86 million Alphabet shares, which would be worth nearly $35 billion within Berkshire's portfolio if estimates prove accurate. This places it alongside Coca-Cola as one of the company's largest equity holdings behind Apple and American Express.
