Bernstein Reaffirms Outperform Rating on Boeing as Production Set to Surge
Boeing's manufacturing facilities in Puget Sound were visited by Bernstein SocGen Group last week, following which the firm reiterated its Outperform rating on Boeing stock with a price target of $298.00.
The company's production line for the 737MAX aircraft is currently operating at 47 planes per month, but this rate will increase to 52 planes per month in the first half of 2027, requiring a five-per-month rate on the new North Line in Everett.
Boeing Commercial Airplanes is already staffed for the increased production rate, and the Everett line is expected to reach 16 aircraft per month, enabling rates of 57 per month and 63 per month.
CEO Kelly Ortberg stated that supply chain becomes a bigger issue at 57 aircraft per month, but the firm noted that the 737MAX production appears on track with company statements made at second-quarter earnings and at Bernstein's Strategic Decisions Conference.
