Jeff Bezos cashed in $350 million worth of Amazon (AMZN.US) shares on Monday, marking his first sale of the company's stock this year. The transaction occurred as Amazon's stock hit a new all-time high, making it the fifth company to surpass a $3 trillion market capitalization following its strong cloud computing revenue announcement last week.

According to regulatory filings, Bezos' latest sale represents only a small portion of his plan to sell up to 15 million Amazon shares valued at over $4 billion. This is not the first time Bezos has accelerated his pace of selling Amazon shares in recent years; since 2020 alone, he has sold more than $38 billion worth of stock.

In just nine trading days this year, Bezos has already offloaded over $8.5 billion in shares, and since the beginning of 2025, he has also donated Amazon shares currently valued at over $1 billion to nonprofit organizations.
