Bezos Sells $4.1 Billion in Amazon Stock Amid Record High
Amazon's founder Jeff Bezos plans to sell $4.1 billion worth of Amazon stock, but this sale is not a reaction to the company's recent earnings or record high stock price.
The shares being sold were worth about $4.07 billion at Monday's close, when Amazon's market value surpassed $3 trillion for the first time.
Bezos started the plan to sell these shares on November 14, 2025, under a rule called 10b5-1, which allows insiders to set a fixed schedule for selling stock in advance.
This is not an unusual move for Bezos, who has been steadily selling Amazon stock through pre-set programs over the years. He remains one of the company's top shareholders and has given away shares to charitable groups in the past.
