Bezos Sells Another Chunk of Amazon Stock Worth Billions
Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has filed to sell up to 15 million shares of Amazon stock, part of a preset Rule 10b5-1 trading plan. The proposed sale would value these shares at more than $4 billion based on Amazon's closing price on Monday. This is not the first time Bezos has sold large blocks of Amazon stock in recent years as he gradually reduces his stake in the company.
The filing comes after Amazon reached an all-time high of $287.20 on Monday, lifting its market capitalization above $3 trillion. This milestone makes Amazon one of only five publicly traded companies to cross this threshold. Wall Street analysts remain bullish on Amazon despite the stock's recent run.
