Jeff Bezos has filed plans to sell $4.1 billion worth of Amazon shares, according to CNBC. The billionaire Amazon founder and his wife Lauren Sánchez have been making headlines for their celebrity status, but this move is a significant financial one. Bezos disclosed the planned sale under a Rule 10b5-1 trading plan adopted on November 14, 2025.

The sale of 15 million Amazon shares comes after the company's earnings set its stock to a record high, with a market value above $3 trillion. This is not surprising given the strength of Amazon's cloud computing business, which has seen significant growth in recent times.

Bezos recently revealed that Amazon's custom chip business is expected to become one of the company's most durable businesses, alongside Marketplace, Prime, and Amazon Web Services. He described the characteristics of a 'dreamy' business in a 2014 letter to shareholders, including strong returns on capital and durability over time.
