Bezos Unloads Nearly $350 Million in Amazon Stock Amid Record High
Jeff Bezos has sold nearly $350 million worth of Amazon shares as the e-commerce giant's stock hit an all-time high. This sale is part of a larger plan to unload up to 15 million shares valued at more than $4 billion, which Bezos outlined in a recent filing. The transaction was executed under a Rule 10b5-1 trading plan adopted on November 14, 2025.
The stock sale represents just a small fraction of Bezos's overall stake in Amazon, with his holdings decreasing from approximately 884 million shares to 869 million shares. Despite the sale, he remains the largest individual shareholder by a wide margin, controlling an 8.16% stake valued at roughly $245 billion.
Bezos has significantly accelerated his stock sales in recent years, offloading more than $38 billion in Amazon equity since 2020. He has also donated over $1 billion in Amazon shares to charitable organizations this year alone. The billionaire plans to continue selling around $1 billion in Amazon stock annually to fund his private space exploration company, Blue Origin.
