Bhatti Tours US Tech Hubs to Boost Singareni's Mining Operations

Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramaraka has been on a US tour, visiting Caterpillar and Komatsu mining equipment manufacturing centers in Arizona and Texas. He was accompanied by senior officials from Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) and GMMCO Ltd.

The delegation reviewed live demonstrations of Caterpillar's latest heavy earth-moving and mining equipment, including autonomous and tele-remote operated machinery. They also discussed operator training and safety systems relevant to opencast coal mining operations at the Arizona center.

The tour included a visit to the Komatsu facility in Texas, where the delegation inspected the manufacturing and assembly of large-scale mining machinery and held discussions on technology collaboration, equipment supply, and after-sales support for SCCL's mining operations. The visits aim to modernize SCCL's opencast fleet and improve operator safety by reducing manual exposure to hazardous zones.
