The organization's representatives, Chelsy Baker and Kim Barros, visited Townsquare Sunday to explain the mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters and promote the event. They emphasized that becoming a mentor is a fun experience and not meant to be overwhelming or stressful.

Big Brothers Big Sisters currently works with 73 matches on the SouthCoast, including programs at Carney Academy in New Bedford and UMass Dartmouth. The organization aims to build community connections and provide young people with opportunities to experience something different.

The 'Meet the Mission' event will feature live music by French Lick and other bands, free food and beverages, and information about helping kids through mentorship. The event is open to those 18 years old and above.
