Big Players Pile into IBM, Raising Stakes by Double Digits
International Business Machines Corporation (IBM) has seen its stake in the company increase by various institutional investors and hedge funds.
The most significant increase was made by Redwood Investment Management LLC, which raised its stake in IBM by 112.9% during the first quarter. The fund now owns 5,781 shares of IBM's stock, valued at $1,401,000 as of its recent SEC filing.
Other notable increases were seen from VIRGINIA RETIREMENT SYSTEMS ET Al, which lifted its position in IBM by 424.6% in the fourth quarter; Assetmark Inc., which boosted its stake in IBM by 24.8% during the first quarter; and GLOBALT Investments LLC GA, which increased its position in shares of IBM by 19.1% during the fourth quarter.
These moves have contributed to institutional investors and hedge funds owning 58.96% of IBM's stock.
