Big Tech's $420 Billion Bet on Artificial Intelligence Infrastructure
Alphabet and Amazon are investing heavily in AI infrastructure, spending a combined total of $420 billion. This investment is expected to benefit several hardware companies, including Nvidia (NVDA), Broadcom (AVGO), Micron (MU), and Sandisk (SNDK).
Nvidia's computing units are the industry standard for AI workloads, while Broadcom has partnered with Alphabet to develop custom AI chips that provide superior cost-performance. However, these alternatives require proper setup to function.
Micron and Sandisk are also benefiting from soaring memory prices, which have increased due to a lack of supply meeting massive demand from AI hyperscalers. This shortage is expected to last until 2028, providing further growth opportunities for these companies.
