Billionaire businessman Lord Alan Sugar has lashed out at American Express after being denied an increase to his credit limit.

Sugar, estimated to be worth £1.138 billion, spent over an hour on the phone with American Express, speaking to four different representatives before finally being connected with someone in the UK who knew of his financial status.

The person refused to increase Sugar's credit limit due to their system, prompting the billionaire to call them 'a bunch of idiots' and claim that he needs a credit card to buy things.
