Bob Chapek's Memoir Reveals Disney Power Struggles

Former Disney CEO Bob Chapek is releasing a memoir about his time at the company. Behind the Castle Walls: My Thirty Years at the Happiest Place on Earth, set to be released on September 29, 2026, offers a behind-the-scenes look at Chapek's three-decade career with Disney.

Chapek was CEO from February 2020 through November 2022. His tenure was marked by the COVID-19 pandemic, which forced him to make high-stakes decisions affecting the billion-dollar empire. He reveals for the first time in the book the maneuverings that led to his ousting and Bob Iger's return as CEO.
