Boeing 737 MAX 7 and MAX 10 Clear Major Technical Hurdle
Boeing has announced that the certification flight testing for its Boeing 737 MAX 7 and MAX 10 aircraft has been completed. This marks a significant milestone in the development of these two variants, which are part of the 737 MAX family.
The MAX 10 team flew a total of 976 certification flights, accumulating over 2,060 hours of flight time and approximately 1,040 ground-test hours across three test aircraft. The testing included validation of key items such as Engine Anti-Ice (EAI) fix, enhanced Angle of Attack (eAoA), and wet-runway braking.
The final test was an interiors check to confirm that the lavatory smoke detector and cabin speakers could be heard over other noises. This milestone clears a major technical hurdle for the 737 MAX 7 and MAX 10, which are expected to receive FAA type certification in 2026 and enter service with airlines in 2027.
